132 kV Puerto del Rosario – La Oliva Overhead Line, in Spain

Red Eléctrica de España, S.A. has awarded to TENSA, S.A., Company of Group EIP, based in Spain, the works of foundations, towers lifting and cable unwinding of section 1 of the 132 kV Puerto del Rosário – La Oliva Overhead Line.

Starting in next October and a duration of 8 month, the works consist in concreating, unwinding and lifting of Section 1 of the 132 kV Puerto del Rosario – La Oliva Overhead Line in Fuerteventura – Canary Islands.

Substitution of Insulators in the 220 kV Ribocayo – Zaratan Overhead Line, in Spain

Red Eléctrica de España, S.A., has awarded to TENSA, S.A., company of Group EIP based in Spain, a contract for Substitution of Insulators of the 220 kV Ribocayo – Zaratan Overhead Line.

With an expected duration of three weeks, the works started during the present month and, generally speaking, consist in the substitution of chains of insulators, out of voltage, in section 2, between towers 101 and 200 of the 220 kV circuit Ribocayo – Zaratán, of the Mudarra Maintenance Area (Northwest Demarcation), in Zamora province.

The works will take place in the municipalities of Corese, Fresno de la Ribera, Villardondiego, Pozoantiguo, Matilla La Seca and Toro.

Substitution of Power Cables in San Juan – Picadas – Villaviciosa de Odon, in Spain

Gas Natural Fenosa has awarded to TENSA, S.A., Company of Group EIP, based in Spain, the works for substitution of power cables in the 132 kV San Juan – Picadas-Villaviciosa de Odon Overhead Line between towers 33/14 and 118/99.

Starting in September 2016 and with an expected duration of six month the works will consist in the substitution of the existing power cable in the 132 kV SanJuan – Villaviciosa de Odon and Picadas – Villaviciosa de Odon Overhead Lines, between tower 33/14 and 118/99.

The works will take place in the municipalities of Villaviciosa de Odon, Navalcarnero, Sevilla la Nueva, Aldea del Freno, Villamanta and Villamantilla of the Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Modification of 60 kV Power Cables in Riba d’Ave Substation

Last August REN awarded to E.I.P. a contract for the modification of 60 kV power cables in Riba d’Ave Substation. These works have an expected duration of three month.

E.I.P. has been awarded a contract for the Rehabilitation of Fagilde Dam Gates

Last July EIP signed a contract with Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente (Environment Portuguese Agency) for the Rehabilitation of Fagilde Dam Bottom Outlet Radial Gates.

With a 4 months contracted deadline the works will cover the repair and maintenance of 2 Radial Gates and respective Operation Equipment.

Remodeling and Uprating the 400 kV Feira – Lavos Overhead Line – Section 3

E.I.P. was awarded a contract for Remodeling and Uprating the 400 kV Feira – Lavos Overhead Line – section 3, for REN. These works, of a great importance for the grid, shall be concluded till the end of the current year.

Burying of Three Lines at 45 kV in Puente Piedra Substation in Spain

Gas Natural Fenosa (Unión Fenosa Distribución, S.A.), owner of Puente Piedra Substation, at the Terminal Municipal de Bernardos, in the province of Segovia, in Spain, awarded to Tensa, S.A., a company of Group EIP, with head offices in Spain, the contract for the “Burying of Three Overhead Lines at 45 kV in Puente Piedra Substation”

Due to the reformulation of this 45 kV Substation Park, it has been necessary burying the 45 kV OHL Puente-Cuellar, the 45 kV OHL Puente Piedra- Dibaq and the 45 kV OHL Puente Piedra – Sanchonuño.

The works will start beginning of July and shall last 3 months.

Unwinding of Optical Fiber Cable in the 400 kV OHL Pinilla-Romica 1 in Spain

Red Eléctrica of Spain awarded to Tensa, S.A., a company of EIP Group, with head offices in Spain, a contract for “Unwinding of Optical Fiber Cable in the 400 kV OHL Pinilla-Romica 1. Section 2”.

Starting in July 2016 and lasting 3 weeks, the works will consist in the replacement of the existing OPGW cable by a similar one, between towers 200-223. The works for the Maintenance Department of Red Eléctrica are located near Chinchilla, province of Albacete, of the Comunidad Autónoma of Castilla La Mancha, in Spain.

E.I.P. support the Wind Art Project

E.I.P. was one of the sponsors of Wind Art project, a cultural project unique in the World, developed in partnership with two great names of the visual and urban arts in Portugal – Joana Vasconcelos and Vhils.

The project, located in Serra de Leomil, Municipality of Moimenta da Beira, was promoted by Âncora Wind Energia Eólica, S.A..

This project links art and culture to industry and energy. Both artist, internationally recognized, have designed the elements coating two wind turbine towers of about 100 meters high and 50 meters span blades.

The project Wind Art “aims to explore the integration of the wind towers in the surrounding landscape – human and natural – creating a subtle interaction with it, in a perfect symbiosis promoting this region of the country”.

E.I.P. conclude the construction of the Power Lines of the Douro Sul Wind Farm

E.I.P. concluded last April the construction of the Power Lines of the Douro Sul Wind Farm and respective connection to the general transport grid for Âncora Wind Energia Eólica, S.A..

This works consisted in the construction of two 60 kV Power Lines connecting the Wind Farms of Três Marcos and Sernancelhe to Moimenta da Beira Substation and  of a 400 kV Power Line connecting this Substation to the National Transport Grid.

Douro Sul Wind Farm comprises 73 wind turbines for wind energy production (Moimenta da Beira, Sernancelhe, Castro de Aire and Viseu) with 150 MW of total installed power output, being considered one of the largest in Europe.
