TENSA, S.A. starts the construction of two new Overhead Transmission Lines in Spain

The late December TENSA, S.A., started the construction of the 400 kV DC Overhead Lines connecting Dueas (Cerrato-Dueas) and Becerril de Campos (Grijota-Becerril de Campos) Substations for the branch Valladolid-Len of the Alta Velocidade Norte (High Speed North) line for U.T.E. Siemens-Telice, S.A..

The double 400 kV DC Overhead Line Cerrato-Dueas, with RAIL AW twin bundled cable, will have a length of 12,5 km with 29 towers. It will cross the municipalities of Valle de Cerrato, Cevico de la Torre, Tariego de Cerrato and Dueas, all in the province of Palencia (Castilla-León).

The double 400 kV DC Overhead Line Grijota-Becerril de Campos, with RAIL AW twin bundled cable, will have a length of 6,3 km with 21 towers. It will cross the municipalities of Grijota and Villaumbrales in the province of Palencia (Castilla-León).

META-EIP signed a “Sales and Representation Agreement” with SPECO

The late December was settled between META-EIP, S.R.L. and SPECO – Shandong Power Equipment CO., Ltd. (STATE GRID group), a “Sales and Representation Agreement” for Power Transformers, Auto-transformers and Reactance VHV for the Italian market, and to cooperate in the analysis and development of more activities with TERNA, namely the construction of Overhead Transmission Lines and Substations on a EPC international basis.

Commissioning of the 400 kV Switching Station of Vieira do Minho – REN

It was commissioned with success, the 17/12/2014, the 400 kV Switching Station of Vieira do Minho for REN.

In this contract E.I.P. was responsible for the supplies, installation, tests and commissioning under the scope of General Electric Installation.

EIP is awarded two new contracts in Colombia

EIP Colombia signed two new contracts with ISA (INTERCOLOMBIA):

The Extension of the 500/220 kV Copey Substation, with a transformer bay of 3 auto-transformers of 150 MVA each, for the specialities of civil construction, electric installation and tests, with a 10 months execution period and the Extensions of Beania and Ibagué Substations with a line bay of 230 kV in each, on a EPC basis and a 14 months execution period.

Award of the CE label Certificate (EN 1090)

E.I.P. – Electricidade Industrial Portuguesa, S.A., was awarded last 22nd of October, 2014, the Certificate of Conformity CE concerning steel structures produced in the Plant of Montemor-o-Novo, in accordance with Regulation (UE) n.º 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the European Council of the 9th of March, 2011 (Regulation of Construction Products or RCP).

This certificate shows the compliance with the provisions concerning the evaluation and checking of the regularity of the performance of norm EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011, according to the system 2+, certifying that the production control in the plant respects the settled requirements.

E.I.P. is the oldest steel structures manufacturer for Energy Transmission and Distribution Lines in Portugal, having presently a production capacity of 12 000 t/year/shift in its Montemor-o-Novo Plant, from which 60% are for export.
